Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it in plain words.

1. What this covers

These terms cover the Pyxils Download Manager desktop application, the Pyxils browser extension, this website, and Pyxils Premium. Using any of them means accepting these terms.

Pyxils is made and sold by Mohammad Maruf Bashiri, an individual trading as Pyxils. “We” and “us” in these terms means him.

2. What you get

Pyxils is a download manager that runs on your own computer. The free version is yours to use for as long as you like, for personal or business use, with no fee. Premium is a licence, sold for a fixed period, that removes the limits described on the pricing page.

A licence is permission to use the software. You do not own the software itself, and it is not sold to you.

3. Your licence, and your computers

• A Premium licence covers two computers at a time. You can move it between them yourself in Settings › Licence.
• A licence is for you or your organisation. Sharing a key publicly, or selling it on, is not permitted, and a key found in public may be withdrawn.
• If a key is withdrawn because it was refunded, charged back, or published, the software keeps working as the free version. Nothing you have downloaded is affected.

4. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software, except where the law where you live says you may regardless of what these terms say.
• Remove or work around the licensing, or distribute a modified copy.
• Resell, rent, or sublicense the software without written permission.
• Use Pyxils to break the law, or to break someone else's terms.

5. What you download is your responsibility

Pyxils is a general-purpose tool. It fetches what you point it at, in the same way a browser does, and it does not judge the content. What you are allowed to download — and what you may then do with it — depends on the law where you are and the terms of the site you got it from. That is your responsibility, not ours.

Do not use Pyxils to copy material you have no right to copy.

6. Third-party sites and tools

Pyxils can fetch optional components (such as ffmpeg and yt-dlp) when you ask it to. Those are separate open-source programs with their own licences, and we do not control them. Websites change without notice; we make a reasonable effort to keep up, but no particular site is guaranteed to work.

7. Payment and renewal

Prices are shown on the pricing page. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle also handles the tax where you are. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

Premium renews automatically — every year or every month, whichever you chose — until you cancel. This is stated at checkout. You can cancel at any time from the link in the receipt email Paddle sends you, or by writing to us. Nothing more is charged after that, and Premium keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.

8. Updates

Pyxils checks for updates and can install them. You can turn that off. We may change or remove features between versions; where something significant changes, it will be in the release notes.

9. No warranty

Pyxils is provided as it is. We do our best — there are automated tests, and every release is checked — but we cannot promise it is free of faults, that it will work with every site, or that it will never stop working. To the extent the law allows, there are no warranties beyond those the law itself gives you.

10. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profit, or anything indirect. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the problem.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Ending it

You can stop using Pyxils at any time, and uninstalling it is enough. We may end a licence if these terms are seriously broken — for instance, a key published publicly. If we do, we will say why.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. If a change materially affects people who have already paid, it will be announced in the app or by email rather than quietly edited in.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where Pyxils is operated from, without affecting any protection the consumer law where you live gives you.
